Terrain: Hard packed dirt, some steep hills and tight turns
Skill Level: Varying difficulty, mostly intermediate to difficult
Scenery: Excellent views of Silverwood Lake and forest sections of the trail
General Weather: Very light winds, moderate temperatures in the summer and snow in the winter.
Amenities: Restrooms, trashcans, and camp sites at staging areas, no running water.
Forest Pass: Yes
Lake Arrowhead OHV is a series of connected trails and staging
areas that spans between Silverwood Lake (where
Cleghorn OHV ends, but doesn’t connect) and Lake Arrowhead.
There are over 50 miles of trails of varying difficulty, but mostly intermediate to
difficult terrain. Great views, generally very light winds, moderate temperatures
in the summer and snow in the winter.
Directions:
From LA area:
- Take 15N and exit 138 East (right on 138)*Note: This is the last food and gas until Arrowhead.
- Take 138 East approximately 10 miles, turn left on Miller Canyon (there’s a sign on the right side of the road)
- Take an immediate right, and staging area is about 100 yards on dirt road.
From Northern area:
- Take 15S and exit 138 East *Note: This is the last food and gas until Arrowhead.
- Take 138 East approximately 10??? miles, turn left on Miller Canyon (there's a sign on the right side of the road)
- Take an immediate right, and staging area is about 100 yards on dirt road.
