Great riding with various terrains for beginners and some advanced hill climbing. Brush and sand washes. 54,000 acres of BLM open land Great for overnight camping but be prepared for some cold temps if you are in the late winter or early spring. Really nice in May and June with temps in the 70-80 range. Also has cart track that runs super moto bikes from time to time . Dump stations, gas stations, hotels, restuarants less than 2 miles from riding areas. Red tag season Sep. 1 to May 31. Barstow BLM Field office number 760-384-5400.

LA area:
- The triangular-shaped riding area is formed by Interstate 15 and California Highway 247 (Barstow Road), immediately south of Barstow. Most visitors access the area to the east, off Interstate 15 at the Outlet Center Drive Exit (Sidewinder Road) or at the Hodge Road Exit, to the south on I-15.
- From Barstow, take California Highway 247 (Barstow Road Exit from I-15) and go south 10 miles, turn either on Stoddard Wells Road or on to the access road behind the Slash-X Cafe. All entrances are dirt roads.
